Welcome Cierra!

Ujima is proud to welcome a new staff member to our team, Cierra Peters! After completing her tenure as our first Arts and Cultural Organizing Fellow, Cierra is joining us as Ujima's Communications Director.

During her previous year as a Fellow, she was nominated for the 2020 Spark Impact Award, became a resident at Queer Archive Work, a non-profit publishing studio, created her forthcoming artbook/reader, However You Want It, and participated in numerous panels, performances and art shows. Most notably, she has a new public art installation, titled Maximum Hydration, outside the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center in South Boston, which will be on view through November 2020. Her bookstore and publishing platform, Print Ain't Dead, plans to open a webstore and new location in Fall 2020. She plans to continue her role conspiring and programming at the CreateWell Fund, an artist-run philanthropy project.
